and I usually have either a song or a pencil in my hands. Singing is probably the easiest way for me to say things I wouldn’t know how to explain in a normal conversation. I can spend hours messing around with melodies, trying different ways to sing the same line, or suddenly getting an idea and recording it before I forget. Drawing is a completely different kind of escape for me. There’s no need to make everything perfect — sometimes I just start with one random line and see where it goes. I like having both sides of me: one that makes noise and one that can sit quietly for hours. I’m not really interested in being good at only one thing. I’d rather keep experimenting, even if half of my ideas end up unfinished. Maybe that’s what I enjoy most — never knowing what I’ll want to create next.
